Crop2Cash emerges winner of the Seedstars Regional Summit Lagos 2019.


Nigeria's agrictech start-up called Crop2cash won the Lagos based Seedstars pitch event award on Monday. Doctoora, a medical startup came second while Traders of Africa came third.

The competition was held in Lagos at the Seesspace Growth Labs and about 11 startups were pitched at the event. The winning company Crop2Cash was founded in 2018 by Michael Ogundare, Emem Essien and Seyi Alabi. The company will represent Nigeria at the Seedstars Africa Summit which will be held in December in South Africa.

If the company wins the Africa Summit, it would be pitched for the Seedstars Global Summit which will be held in April 2020 in Switzerland. They stand the chance of winning $1 Million equity investment and other prizes in the Global Summit.

  • Crop2Cash: An agritech platform for small farm owners.
  • Foodlocker: An e-commerce platform for fresh food and groceries sourced directly from farmers.
  • Lucy.ng: An on-demand merchandise branding platform.
  • Asusu: A microfinance platform for the financially excluded.
  • Pronob: A SaaS company that offers inventory management services for pharmacies.
  • Traders of Africa: An e-commerce marketplace focused on driving intra-African trade as well as trade between Africa and the world through technology.
  • Doctoora: A platform to find health professionals.
  • One Kiosk Africa: An e-commerce startup that is working with a network of stores to deliver orders.
  • Publiseer: A digital publishing platform for music and books.
  • Edusko: An edutech solution for the financially handicapped.
  • Alerzo: An e-commerce startup that wants to digitize Africa’s informal B2B retail supply chain.
