Facebook acquires CTRL-lab

Facebook, Inc. agrees to acquire a start-up lab called CTRL-Labs. CTRL-labs is brain-computing start-up is said to be developing an electrical wristband that can pick up signals from the brain and send it to the computer.

“You can share a photo with a friend using an imperceptible movement or just by, well, intending to, It also “captures your intention”, said Facebook VR president Andrew Bosworth.

The amount the deal was worth is yet to be confirmed.

Mr. Bosworth, owner of the CTRL-Lab said "I hoped the CTRL-Lab team would help Facebook to “build this kind of technology, at scale and get it into consumer products faster.”

This is like a huge development for the Facebook team. This device would make it easier for people to update their status and do other social functions online.
