Africa's two tech-hub powerhouses have decided to come together, in a merger that will accelerate the application of tech solutions across African borders. The amount of which the deal was not disclosed.
“The names will stay the same…iHub will remain iHub…it is a strong brand…but iHub will be supported from the central CcHub, which will help them strengthen what they do, We’ll now hang entry to pipeline in Nigeria, Kenya, and Rwanda,” CcHub CEO Bosun Tijani confirmed to TechCrunch
Mr. Tijani views the acquisition as an enhancement of the continent’s tech ecosystem. “It strengthens our ability for innovation. iHub and CcHub…coming together makes us stronger; it offers us a likelihood to create better assets and develop expertise,”
These two tech hubs are the most recognized hubs in Africa and the merger has made it a huge tech hub. It has become a point for startup, training and IT activity. This is a huge development for Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
