The government of Rwanda has decided to embark on its
cryptocurrency. In its report, the National Bank of Rwanda plans to adapt the
models of central banks of Canada, Singapore, and the Netherlands, in the area
of block-chain technology. They intend to use the digital currency to boost the
country's currency.
Though there are concerns about how the government plans to
convert the country's currency to digital currency but either way, this is a
new welcomed development on the Africa continent. While industry experts
believe that cryptocurrency will be around for years, there are still concerns
that need to be addressed but it’s a nice development in the tech world of
Africa.
